Overview

If you are not new to reverse osmosis systems, you may already know that it passes the feed water through a series of filters for producing the purified water. Home Master TMAFC does the same, more specifically it passes the water through 7-stages of filtration. Moving on, the produced filter water will be stored in the 3.2-gallon pressurized storage tank.

TMAFC Artesian is almost identical to the TMAFC-ERP, with the major difference of the permeate pump. If you already have adequate water pressure, there is no need to worry about the permeate pump.

The design is another factor that makes its place in the USA Houses. The design makes it easy for all of us to install and replace the filter more conveniently.

Most importantly, for those who love to drink the purified mineral water.  Home Master Has incorporated the Remineralization stage that adds back the minerals into the water to enhance the taste. You will not have to complain of the bland taste water that many traditional RO unit owners have.

Paying the plumber is no more headache, its design makes it easy to be installed within an hour. And you will start drinking purified water after a few minutes of installation right from your faucet.

Water efficiency

Without wasting some amount of water, you can’t expect the purified water from the reverse osmosis system. The more the water waste ratio is, the less the system is efficient. Reverse osmosis with the water waste of 3-4 gallons is considered as an efficient one.

Home Master TMAFC wastes around 4 gallons of water to produce 1 gallon of purified water. The amount is higher than other Home Master Models but still acceptable as many RO systems in market wastes around 19-24 gallons.

The water waste ratio can be affected by water pressure. Higher water pressure can reduce water waste. TMAFC Artesian does not include the permeate pump that accelerates the water pressure. You can install it separately in the system to reduce the water waste up to 1-1.5 gallons.

Improved Design

Almost all the reverse osmosis systems in the market have the canister filter design. While the Home Master noticed the problem with this design and manufactured the Home Master TMAFC Artesian with the modular filter design.

Let’s have a look at the difference between both of these designs.

In Canister filter design, you only change the water filters instead of the complete filter housing. The same housing in the RO system for the longer time accumulates the bacteria within it, which weakens the system and causes the leakages. Ultimately, serious damage occurs and your kitchen floods with the water.

While In Modular filter design, the filters are incorporated within the housing and whenever you change the filters the housing also changed. There is no chance of system leakage or damage, and even your system runs efficiently all the time.

Most importantly, the design has larger components which can double the speed of the water flow. You will get the water relatively at a higher speed whenever you need it.

Filtration

The water goes through the 7 stages for becoming completely purified water. The basic filtration process is almost identical to other reverse osmosis systems, only the 1 stage of advance filtration has been added in the TMAFC Artesian.

This extra layer of filtration is of Remineralization stage, it has nothing to do with the filtration but assist the system by improving the taste of the filtered water.

The main responsibility of the remineralization stage is to add back beneficial minerals to the filtered water, including calcium, magnesium, and potassium. When these minerals replenish in the water it ultimately improves the taste. Obviously, with the improved taste water your cooked food, coffee, and tea will also taste good.

The interesting thing is that TMAFC Artesian Remineralized the water twice. Once the water moves toward the storage tank after filtration, and then after coming out of your faucet.

Installation

Home Master TMAFC installation doesn’t need you to be the professional. Anyone can install the systems within an hour by spending some time learning the whole installation process. If you have not ever involved in such activities before, it is recommended to read the manual first. If you are not interested in it, the Tutorial videos are available online. You can also follow them to master the whole process.

Spending in some time on the learning of the installation process can save you from serious damage or loss.

Maintenance

The filters need to be replaced if you want your RO system to run efficiently. Similarly, TMAFC filters need to be replaced but the filters of TMAFC has the longer lifespan relatively. You don’t need to change them frequently, they require the replacement annually or after 2000 Gallons.

Like the installation Home Master TMAFC Filter replacement is also easy to do. You don’t even need the wrench for filters replacement. Just push out the older one and push in the new one and again start drinking mineral tasting purified water.
